Sonoko Narisawa received her BS degree from Tokyo University of Science and a Ph.D. in Medical Science from Tokai University in Japan. She did postdoctoral studies in the laboratory of Dr. Jose Luis Millan where she has remained as Staff Scientist. She has generated multiple knock out and transgenic mouse lines. Her current interests concern the role of tissue-nonspecific alkaline phosphatase during bone mineralization as well as the functions of alkaline phosphatases in fat absorption and in LPS detoxyfication.
